10 HELPFUL TIPS

  1. Never look directly at the sun, even during a solar eclipse.
  2. Understand the different phases of a solar eclipse.
  3. MAKE SURE your eclipse glasses or solar viewer are certified and meet the ISO 12312-2 international standard.
  4. Be aware of your surroundings during the eclipse.
  5. Keep children under close supervision during the eclipse.
  6. DO NOT use homemade filters or ordinary sunglasses.
  7. DO NOT look at the eclipse through a camera, telescope, binoculars, or other optical device without proper filtering.
  8. If you experience any discomfort or vision problems after viewing the eclipse, seek immediate medical attention.
  9. Be aware of the timing of the eclipse in your area.
  10. ENJOY THE EXPERIENCE! It’s a rare and awe-inspiring event.
